I am a results oriented sales leader maximizing the performance of the various sales organizations I have led for over 20 years. I have accomplished this success by being a process and data driven leader. My leadership style is summed up in 3 pillars, Process, Communication, and Recognition Process - Beginning with talent development, moving into territory management and business development, then pipeline management and finally closing. Process is not about making robots, it's about taking the risk out of sales efforts by identifying and managing to repeatable best practices. Communication - What is our value proposition to the market and how are we communicating it? From an internal leadership perspective, I believe in cascading the companies strategic direction down to the sales team. This clarifies where our focus and priorities should be. Finally, I believe in consistent and meaningful team and 1/1 communication plans that lead to immediate results. Recognition - 2 primary focus areas: The Good - I believe in recognizing top performers consistently, in public, and to their families. The Bad - I believe in swiftly recognizing poor performance in private, developing a plan to turn things around, or an exit strategy that makes sense. Not everyone is meant for sales. I am active in the non profit community where my passion lies in serving those in need by way of organizations served by Catholic Charities, Meals on Wheels, and Food for the Poor. My wife Jennifer and I are active in the lives of our four sons and our church, St. Benedict in the Diocese of Charleston. I enjoy basketball, tennis, golf, and am an avid reader.
