I am a seasoned IT professional with a passion for database technologies. Skilled as an Oracle Database Administrator, I work in a dynamic environment that enables me to continue to learn something new each and every day. I'm currently employed at dunnhumby in Cincinnati, Ohio. I provide technical leadership and line management to a team of highly skilled professionals based in Cincinnati, London, and Gurgaon. At dunnhumby, we pride ourselves on innovation, and my team is uniquely placed to lead the charge as we have some of the most advanced database hardware and software available to do just that. Among other technologies, we support 12 Oracle Exadata machines, hundreds of databases, and several petabytes of data. Prior to dunnhumby, I worked at several companies in both technical and leadership positions. My passion lies on the technical side, but I have a track record of leading successful teams and enjoy that aspect as well, particularly when the focus is on database architecture and support. Getting to know me: - I enjoy running, golf, biking (mountain and road), skiing, woodworking, and University of Kentucky sports. - I believe in working hard, but playing even harder. - I respect companies that focus on their employees, customer, and products rather than investors.
