Hi, I am Garry Schulz. I am the person the CEO turns to when they want advice or need to get something done. I expand their capacity, and that of their team, to deliver results. I amplify their impact and help them transform their organisation and achieve remarkable things. I do it as Chief of Staff and/or Head of Strategy in the Office of the CEO. I am a close confidant of the CEO. I earn their trust because I’m discreet and am a safe, reliable pair of hands. I’m comfortable with ambiguity, thrive on collaboration, value humility and believe work and fun should go hand in hand. My achievements include: •Transforming MinterEllison, growing revenue by 50% to $627M and profit by 36+% in five years and creating Australia’s largest Tier 1 law firm (up from #5) •Shaping PWCs local and global strategy and development, doubling revenue in Australia from $750M to $1.5B (and globally from $15B to $31B) between 1998 – 2012, and laying the platform for an unprecedented 20+ years of growth and industry dominance •Coaching, influencing and acting as confidant to a succession of highly successful CEOs and business leaders (including the Chairman of PWC Asia-Pac, three successive CEOs of PWC Australia and two CEOs of MinterEllison) •Leading major projects (client-facing and internal) that delivered a step change in organisational capability (e.g. transformational change intervention on asset management system for large public sector client (asset value $28B) restoring control of troubled $400M annual maintenance budget) •Championing innovation and pioneering applications of emerging technologies, including opening up brand new markets with a 10x increase in engagement size from $10M to $100M
