Mike is responsible for Sales and Marketing for Veolia North America's Commercial and Municipal group. Mike is Chief Operating Officer of SourceOne, a full service energy consulting firm. Mr. Byrnes is a highly experienced energy engineer and is expert in all aspects of distributed generation /power plant design, development and operation. Mr. Byrnes has been engaged on several of the most visible and successful distributed generation projects in the New York metro area. Prior to joining Source One, Mr. Byrnes was a senior manager with Trigen Energy Corporation, a leading North American developer of environmentally responsible Combined Heat and Power projects. In his ten years with Trigen, Mr. Byrnes has worked on all aspects of combined heat and power projects from operations to development including environmental permitting and commercial relationships. Prior to joining Trigen, Mr. Byrnes was employed by Con Edison in New York City in various operational and engineering positions. Mr. Byrnes served as an engineering officer in the US Merchant Marine.
