I routinely represent both employers and employees with respect to legal issues, such as negotiating employment contracts, handling termination and severance negotiations or dealing with regulatory matters, such as AODA, Workers' Compensation, Occupational Health and Safety or Pay Equity. I have extensive experience with respect to human rights matters, both in the employment and general context. My clients are both provincially and federally regulated. My practice covers the ambit from advisory to appellate litigation. I enjoy assisting employers set up operations in Canada and will advise on employment, immigration, compliance and regulatory issues that routinely arise in this type of context. A significant portion of my practice is devoted to advising on employment issues relating to M & A transactions. I am proud to be the co-chair of Gowlings' Diversity and Inclusion Council, which is devoted to creating a culture of inclusion in all our offices.
