I joined DLA Piper in 1981 and practised as a Corporate lawyer, becoming a partner in 1987. I have held a number of senior leadership positions within the firm, including Head of Corporate, Managing Director of the EMEA region and UK Managing Partner. On 1 May 2013, I was appointed Chief Operating Officer for the Firm's operations outside the U.S. and I am based in our London office, having spent two years in Sydney (as Managing Partner for our Australian practice). I am also a member of the firm's Global Board.
