Chief Outsiders is a national management consulting firm that allows mid-size and growth firms to have a senior level executive chief marketing officer on staff for a fraction of the price of hiring a full-time CMO. We are Business Marketing Consultants who provide and oversee fractional, or part-time, CMOs for growth and mid-size companies. Unlike most marketing consulting firms, our CMOs (Chief Marketing Outsiders) function as a part-time addition to the CEO's staff to oversee translating the CEO's vision into a growth and marketing plan and then overseeing the implementation, with compensation based on business results. Our Chief Marketing Outsiders have held the title of VP of Marketing or higher at operating companies and come from a variety of industries. My personal background combines large company strategic marketing and innovation (including Frito-Lay, Kellogg’s, Coca-Cola, and Compaq Computers/HP), with mid market strategic leadership in roles such as VP of Marketing at the $1 billion Imperial Sugar Company (part of the management team that was formed as they came out of bankruptcy) and as VP of Corporate Development, Sales & Marketing for a $200+ million firm primarily owned by the private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners.
