Using tools such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, PBS Pro, EMC Isilon, EMC XtremIO, StorSimple, SaltStack, etc. we provide cluster computing, private cloud application servers, remote access, internal and external networking, and other services to Altair Engineering offices throughout the world.I also work with our Asia / Pacific and EMEA Systems staff to provide similar services in their regions.Recent Projects:o Flash-only storage in-house and public cloud storage bursting.o Project management of a high-density (up to 50kW/rack) IBM-built Data Center for high performance computing near our headquarters.o AeroHive enterprise wireless network.o Replacement of several building networks using IPv6-ready technologies.o Splunk-based log aggregation and NAGIOS XI monitoring for several hundred servers and network devices, many of which are in hybrid or full public cloud.o Implementation of 55 site mesh VPN wide area network (Barracuda NG).o 'Evangelism' of virtual machine server, hybrid cloud, and storage consolidation has paid off in tremendous flexibility and physical space reductions (no physical Data Center growth needed since 2012).o Creation of extensive remote access capabilities for Altair Engineering's employee community including SSL VPN, VDI, easy configuration of wireless devices such as iPad, iPhone, Android, and other tablets and cell phones.Specialties: IT Personnel Management, Project Management / Implementation / Followup (JIRA/Confluence), Mesh VPN, MPLS, WAN acceleration, Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Juniper and Cisco IPsec VPN, IBM Spectrum Protect, CrashPlan Proe, iSCSI/Fiber Channel/FCoE SAN migration, XtremIO, NetApp, AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Mac OS X, AeroHive wireless, VMware, VirtualBox+Vagrant+Docker, Mobile Device Management
