Senior Information Technology Program Manager

UMass Lowell, a midsized public research university located north of Boston, offers full- and part-time students bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs online and on campus.

I am a higher education professional with many years of experience in Information Technology. My technical experience commenced as a programmer focusing on supporting administrative applications, including designing programs that leverage cost and technology for campus members. This experience moved into working with the system office at UMass on leveraging software and hardware contracts across 5 campuses and the President's office. The theme across my career has been leveraging technology to move the UMass Lowell campus forward using IT services in a self service model. The programs I have implemented at UMass Lowell involve forecasting and budgeting each fiscal year. As new programs are mandated from the UMass system office I am brought in to start planning on how these programs will be implemented on the Lowell campus. Once design implementation has been achieved I move into working with a group of team members to implement and to bring the product into operation. The most creative part of my job is designing the IT web site to include all new IT projects. This includes design and web page creation.
