John “JT” Turner is Chief Revenue Officer at Certinia. Working in a strong culture is essential to him. Energy, storytelling, and creating focused execution out of chaos are his strengths. JT is passionate about building go-to-market strategies and scaling sales organizations. He has participated in a successful IPO (NYSE: TNET) and one of the largest enterprise software mergers in history. He is an investor and advisor to several early-stage companies. JT builds and leads organizations to achieve breakthrough results via a playbook called the Victory Plan. Along with this strategy, he develops and coaches future leaders through the Lighthouse training program he wrote. He loves Sales— he started his career as a Sales Rep, and since then has risen to become a revenue owner at the CEO's table. His career highlights include incubating and growing the Enterprise Global SaaS GTM Team for a Cybersecurity project at Google X from just 5 people to 50+. He also had a role as an Executive Team Member & Section 16 Officer who brought a small business in the SaaS HR sector public. Next, he led an EMEA Technical Sales organization at Symantec, where he and his team transformed a technical organization into a powerful sales weapon. Finally, as a Sales Manager, he built and led the number one ranked Sales Team in the world at Gartner and VERITAS. JT received a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University and was a four-year "walk-on" to the NCAA Division 1 basketball team. He earned an MBA from San Jose State University and completed a certificate from the Stanford Business School. He’s a board member at Think Together, an organization that helps young learners gain better access to resources and equal education opportunities.
