I have been a family physician for over twenty years in rural, suburban, and urban environments. As a family physician I truly enjoy taking care of the 'whole'​ person, as well as the 'whole' family. From newborns to those nearing the end of life, and all those in between, I enjoy not only helping those when they are ill, but thoroughly enjoy an emphasis on illness prevention. I love the variety that family medicine provides, as well as the opportunity to get to know and care for my patients over the long term. The relationships that develop are special, and having the time to spend on prevention and education is especially rewarding. I have also worked in physician leadership over the last several years. I enjoyed my role as medical director at two different locations within The Everett Clinic system and am extremely excited to provide leadership within Primary Care for the Swedish Medical Group as Regional Medical Director. The recent completion of my Masters in Health Administration (MHA) through the University of Washington School of Public Health has further solidified my excitement in Healthcare Leadership. I look forward to helping providers, and healthcare organizations negotiate the complex and ever changing sociopolitical environment that we currently live in, with the ultimate goal of Triple Aim success in quality, cost and patient experience.
