I am a sourcing analyst with a background in both direct and indirect sourcing in the medical and automotive industries. In my current role I collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams to drive cost savings to meet our goals, analyze and present financial metrics and progress toward annual goals, track global savings projects and ensure their timely completion, secure and enhance supplier relationships, audit suppliers according to ISO certification or other criteria, and support the category managers in any way possible. I recently spent 8 months in a supervisory role for FCA at their manufacturing facility in Trenton, Michigan. There I developed a unique perspective across the supply chain, being heavily involved with the shipment, receipt, and flow of goods within the facility. My responsibilities spanned not only the entire facility but also the incoming goods from our suppliers and outgoing goods to our customers. I managed a unionized workforce of dozens of employees at a time, handled warehouse management according to FIFO and JIT principles, implemented process improvements, and ensured supply security not only to our assembly and machining lines but also to our customers. This blend of corporate and factory management experience has enabled me to view across the supply chain and experience two major aspects of how a business is run. I have been able to perform different and challenging roles for three great organizations in my young career, accumulating a diverse and valuable array of knowledge and skills. I have embraced every new experience and responsibility I have been given, and wherever my career takes me I'll always bring my desire to learn, to challenge myself, to seek responsibility, and to develop professionally.
