I am a Vice President of Innovation and Strategy at Stericycle. Stericycle has 435 locations and 18,000 employees in 13 countries around the globe. Stericycle is a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol SRCL. We power over 100 Million interactions every year.Prior to Stericycle I was the Founder and CEO of Prompt Alert Inc., a technology business ranked in Profit Magazine’s Top 500 Fastest Growing Companies (2013 & 2014) and Profit HOT 50 Technology Startups (2012). Prompt Alert’s main product, Patient Prompt, provides cloud-based automated engagement tools to healthcare organizations throughout North America. I founded Prompt Alert in 2007, bootstrapping the business with a small angel investment from friends and family. We successfully grew the organization without institutional capital, from inception through its successful exit in 2014 to Stericycle. In the 5 years leading up to its acquisition, Prompt Alert grew an incredible 1,262% with 95% of revenue originating internationally. I believe that giving back is a common thread in the DNA of an entrepreneur. I know what it's like to start a business, grow it and sell it. I've been a startup CEO with tons of optimism but little clue on how to convert that into real value. I'm able to help through Six Squared Capital. Six Squared is a Toronto based early stage Venture Capital group, providing funding to early stage Toronto (GTA) based Information Technology Companies. While funding and mentoring companies in a variety of industries, Six Squared principally focuses on Healthcare and Software as a Service (SaaS) revenue model businesses. I have lived and worked internationally, consulting with the CCS Group in Hamilton, Bermuda.
