SIG SAUER management team is made up of experienced individuals that work together as a cohesive team to provide customers with the finest of products, training, and services in the firearms industry. The Swiss Industrial Group (SIG) sold SIGARMS in October 2000, to Michael Lke and Thomas Ortmeier, two German entrepreneurs. Mr. Lke and Mr. Ortmeier, both successful in the industrial textile industry, were looking to expand into new business sectors. Their new ownership has provided SIG SAUER with a renewed sense of pride and ownership that is reflected in our commitment to our customers, suppliers and shareholders.

Founded by Dan Powers, in 2002, D&M Holding Company has owned and operated several companies in the ammunition industry including Precision Ammunition which was sold in 2009 to RUAG, the Swiss owned defense conglomerate and is now operated as RUAG Ammotec USA. Dan stayed on as the CEO of RUAG Ammotec USA for 4 years, managing US operations and consulting on the overhaul of the RUAG factory in Hungary. In 2012, SIG Sauer hired D&M Holding to develop their SIG Sauer Ammunition division and to design and build the factory in Somerset, Kentucky. In 2013 Dan signed on as the President of SIG Sauer Ammunition, where he oversaw the design and build of the new ammunition factory in Jacksonville, Arkansas. ​ In 4th quarter 2017 Dan left SIG Sauer Ammunition to join forces with some other like-minded industry executives and focus their efforts on the design and manufacture of other new ammunition factories around the world
