Mr Remy Marcotorchino has 15 years of experience in the high tech sector with positions in the Telecom, EMS, Wireless and Semiconductor industries.He is currently Director Marketing and Market Strategy at Sierra Wireless. In this role, Mr Marcotorchino focuses on gaining market share in NAM into the broader m2m space. He also has worldwide responsibilities in the industrial and security verticals for top line revenue, market share and gross margin in those segments.Prior to this position, he was Sr Director Strategy and Business Development at Novatel Wireless where he drove the growth of the company into new segments within the m2m space such as Energy, Security, Supply Chain or Wireless Asset Monitoring. In this role, he managed and negotiated alliances and partnerships relevant to the business. He also had an influential role in driving Novatel Wireless products definition and roadmap. Prior to Novatel Wireless, Mr Marcotorchino was responsible for Business Development at Texas Instruments for the wireless chipset business unit in North America. His main customer was Motorola driving double digit growth in revenue in this account and securing major design ins within their low end and feature phones business units. Mr Marcotorchino was previously working at fortune 500 companies such as Sanmina-SCI and Alcatel in sourcing and sales engineering position respectively.Mr Marcotorchino is an individual with unique background across functional area including engineering, finance, supply chain, sales and business development.
