On my first day in Scotland's Water Industry 35 years ago, my ambition was to enjoy my work, be part of a winning team and always look to take on a new challenge. And that's still what motivates me to this day. As the Chief Operating Officer of Scottish Water, a £1.2 Billion turnover business, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations and customer service of one of the UK's largest water and sewerage providers. I enjoy making things happen, delivering the best possible services and outcomes for our 5 million customers. I've had some terrific experiences and been involved in some fantastic initiatives and projects to help enhance water services and experiences for our customers. I'm proud to be part of a team which has overseen the transformation of Scottish Water to one of the highest performing companies in the water sector, delivering high levels of customer satisfaction at the same time as delivering over 40% cost reductions to ensure that the service is delivered for the lowest cost. But it doesn't stop there. We're a fast moving, forward-looking organisation which has increasingly put the customer at the heart of all we do. That's why we want to continue to be a winning team, with aspirations to truly become the very best service provider in the UK water industry. The way we will do this is by harnessing the commitment and enthusiasm of our talented teams all over Scotland, combining it with increased innovation and efficiency to meet our customers needs and expectations and, above all, serving the customer in such a way that we are always truly valued and trusted in the community
