Proud to say I have successfully completed four years as an Account Executive for Renaissance and promoted to Senior status. With 27 years of experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent and regional coordinator, I truly believe in our Alabama Public Schools. I believe all children can learn when teachers have the right leadership, resources, tools, and training. Teachers with the right tools can make miracles happen! I have 17 years in educational administration and as an Assistant Superintendent I supervised 1200+ employees, 9,500 children, large million dollar budgets with on-going monitoring, and spearheaded continuous forecasting to meet teacher and student needs. My administration experience includes elementary, high school, central office, and Alabama Department of Education experience. A combination of past and present responsibilities include: principal duties, assistant principal assignments, coordinating and directing services to meet the needs of the students, staff and community involvement, analyzing data to plan, organize, and implement policies and programs, development of budgets and authorize expenditures aligned to system goals, providing the framework for establishing a new schools, reorganizing schools, developing alternative programs to meet students’ needs, district professional development, obtaining grants, conflict resolution, evaluation and training of staff, insuring that schools and districts adhere to federal and state laws. Serving for the past three years as a State Regional Coordinator and I have worked with a majority of Alabama Schools. Recently, I served as one of Alabama’s ESSA subcommittee Chairpersons for Federal Programs. It was an honor to create a platform for input on our state plan. Presently, I continue to direct, coordinate and organize professional development with Alabama State Department of Education for 40 plus school districts to include staff and teachers.
