I’m a polymath with a passion for exploring the depths of human experience and effecting systemic change. My graduate studies in medieval history, in which I investigated the creation and dissemination of political and personal identity, are the foundation for the complex analysis and in-depth research I bring to bear on vital social issues and systems. At home in the longue durée and big picture while wielding the sharp attention to detail of a professional editor, I see the vision and craft the steps to reach it. What are some of the projects that have me leaping out of bed in the morning? •Masterminding and writing the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence’s first domestic violence fatality report, born from systems analysis and hours of research, dedicated to data transparency and meaningful information •Multi-disciplinary systems engagement and advocacy, ranging from providing legislative testimony and co-coordinating the Oregon Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team to organizing a series of webinars for mental health professionals serving victims of violence •Developing training curricula for Oregon’s community domestic and sexual violence advocates with a focus on evidence-based best practice •Having had the opportunity to provide editorial support to authors constructing award-winning articles at the Pacific Historical Review Specific areas of expertise include content development, editing, systems and research analysis, interdisciplinary collaboration, and project management. The prospect of innovation, building bridges, and addressing critical needs is my daily jetpack.
