I am a public policy and government affairs professional with 15 years of experience in policy analysis, development, and implementation; legislative relations and advocacy; designing and executing public affairs strategies in public service and private sector leadership roles. I currently serve as the Director of Economic Development in the Office of Mayor Ted Wheeler, the Mayor of Portland, Oregon. In this role, I advise and support the Mayor's agenda to drive equitable and inclusive economic growth and opportunity in our community. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated strong judgment and adaptability to achieve results in fast-changing and complex environments including as a Policy Director for Walmart, Inc., a Legislative Director on Capitol Hill, and a Strategic Communications Advisor in Kabul, Afghanistan. Effectively balancing big thinking with an execution-oriented mindset, I have thrived as a project manager and team leader in several dynamic, cross-cultural settings. I hold a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, focused on international affairs and economic development policy, and a B.A. in Government from Colby College in Maine.
