Bobby Lee - 2019 appointed by Seattle Mayor and confirmed by the Seattle City Council to serve as department director responsible for Seattle Office of Economic Development. Member of the Mayor’s Cabinet. Prior experience: Served as Director of Economic Development for City of Portland - Prosper Portland. Served as policy adviser for two Oregon Governors focused on regional economic and community development. In the private sector, served as division manager for Hynix Semiconductor, world’s second largest manufacturer of memory chips. In the nonprofit sector, served as Director of Organizational Affairs for Worksystems Inc., Oregon’s largest workforce development agency.Elected to the Eugene City Council (President 1999-2000). Appointed by Governor Barbara Roberts to the Oregon State Board of Higher Education. Elected as student body president at University of Oregon. Born in Athens, Georgia, but grew up in Seoul Korea. Hobbies include running (completed 20 marathons), jazz, fly fishing, sci-fi and Korean TV dramas. Go Ducks football!
