SEC REPORTING, ACCOUNTING POLICY AND RESEARCH Senior level finance professional with over ten years of experience with NV Energy, Inc., an electric and gas utility in Nevada. Directed the external reporting requirements for NV Energy’s three SEC registrants in combined filings including annual forms 10-K, quarterly forms 10-Q, 8-K, earnings press releases, Proxy’s, and SEC Comment letters. Additional experience in directing industry specific reporting requirements for NV Energy's utility subsidiaries. In depth knowledge of SEC regulations and US GAAP. Instrumental in selecting and implementing financial reporting software systems including WebFilings, IBM Cognos, and Edgarfilings. Successful ability to manage the use of financial reporting software systems including all levels of XBRL functionality with users and vendors. Experience in leading technical research for non-routine accounting transactions, including providing guidance to financial reporting teams and other finance departments. Strengths include successful team leadership and development of team members, including conducting utility specific technical training and assisting staff accountants with complex financial statement analysis. Prior management experience in public accounting with Deloitte, a leading international Big 4 firm.
