Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research is an Abu Dhabi Government initiative owned solely by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The university was inaugurated in February 2007 and opened its interim campus in Abu Dhabi in October 2008 to add to the campus in Sharjah (formerly Etisalat University College). The university's permanent Abu Dhabi campus is currently being developed. The Sharjah branch campus has a very proud 18-year history and in February 2008 was merged with the Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research to form the foundation of Khalifa University.

Nikesh serves as Information Technology Librarian at Zayed University. He is a library systems expert with specialization in Web-scale Discovery solutions, LSP/ILS implementations, remote access, repositories, and Institutional ORCID API implementations. He secured MTech in Information Systems and Management with a gold medal from the University of Mysore. In addition, he has master’s degrees in Library and Information Science and in Business studies. Prior to joining Zayed University UAE, Nikesh served as Systems Librarian at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi and took a lead role in unifying the ILS, discovery, remote access and repository systems of the Masdar Institute, the Petroleum Institute and the KUSTAR, implementing the massive systems migration projects for the newly merged entities of the Khalifa University. Nikesh has extensive experience leading the technical operations at EBSCO serving as EBSCO Discovery Engineer and he has implemented over 100 EBSCO Discovery profiles across India and South Asia to deliver seamless and integrated discovery user experiences in libraries. •Excellent exposure with the publishing industry: work experience as Information specialist. Involved in Client Relationship Management for the country of Kuwait for major International publishers viz. Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor and Francis, Thompson Reuters, Emerald, EBSCO, Nature, Lexis Nexis, Ovid & Sage.
