I work as the Product Manager- Lead, Controls for Heatcraft Worldwide Refrigeration. Heatcraft is a division of Lennox International and manufactures Industrial Refrigerators, Walk in Freezers amongst other products. I work on managing the on-board controls that go with these products. These controls, are the "things" in the Internet of Things or IOT. These controls are what make the equipment run reliably and efficiently, and at the same time help reducing an organization's carbon footprint. I started a Project Engineer in Honeywell in 2007 and worked up the ladder to become a Lead Engineer and led a remote engineering team of 5 Engineers for one of the largest building projects in world at that time. After that I realized that I didn't want to limit my work to Project Engineering & Management and moved to the Sales team of the GES-ECC Business. I started when my region's revenue was $8,000 and in 3 years it was $1.2 Million. After working closely on the customer & Application side, I wanted to have a stake in creating and defining the products that were being used by dealers and end users. That's when I moved to Product Management. I managed the Hardware products that Alerton manufactures from Cradle to Grave. I start with listening to the customer, defining their needs, working with Agile teams globally to manufacture the product and then work with the Sales team to help sell it. At the same time I work on sustaining the existing products & work as a Firefighter whenever there is a customer issue.
