I am currently employed at ExtraHop Networks as the Lead Data Analyst. My work here has been very rewarding, as I watched and helped a small, supplementary service grow into a revenue-producing sales item. Atlas Remote Analysis reports are now a critical part of the ExtraHop sales cycle, and are critical to overall business function. I have also helped to expand the topics covered in these reports, and produced reports faster as business needs grew. Atlas Remote Analysis reports help identify and and summarize critical issues seen in IT infrastructure using ExtraHop as our main tool. They cover a variety of protocols, network issues, and other problems that frequently crop up when managing a large network. My background in mathematics and business was a great background to this kind of technical, yet business-critical work. I graduated from the University of Portland in 2011 with a BA in mathematics, in addition to two years of education in business and economics in the Pamplin School of Business Administration. In the future, I hope to pursue graduate-level education pertaining to data science and/or statistics.
