I'm an not a licensed IT tech. My expertise lies more with project management, research and workflow processes. I plan out and organize Mac and studio related projects and keep them on schedule. I figure out who needs to be involved, budgets, etc. and make sure things stay on track. I review user technology needs and evaluate business justification. I also keep track of font requests and software licenses and try to eliminate unnecessary expenses. I act as liaison between the agency and vendors who offer important technological services. Any department that is Mac based falls under my responsibility whether it's technology or workflow processes. I've often referred to myself as a "Font Detective." When someone wants to use a particular font, I track down the licensing information and cost so that it can be considered in the overall budget for any project. I have also made it my personal mission to debunk the myth of "Free Fonts" by actively pursuing designers and EULAs to verify compliance with any licensing agreements. I also help users identify fonts they have discovered so that we can be licensed properly. Teaching: At least part of every job I've had has involved instructing others, either formally or informally. In my current position, I have taught "how to" sessions in my current job both in person and via web conference. I've created the manuals that accompany the training as well. Technical Background: I have an extensive technical background in the use of many Adobe products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver) as well as administrating Xinet, creating, managing and editing databases in Filemaker Pro, and helping users with iOS devices (iPad and iPhone). The job tracking system I created for Doner has been compared to other commercially available products, but with the benefit of being fully customizable to the needs of the users.
