I have found that good developers are not enough to make a great product. Good developers need an effective process that allows them to create great software. That's why I have focused on improving the effectiveness of teams with lean / agile methods. In my current role, I am an agile evangelist and enterprise agile coach. I have provided agile and SAFe training to software teams, and mentored Scrum Masters and project managers on how to implement agile. I have also used kanban as a process improvement technique with teams to help improve their time to market. During my tenure as agile coach, CarMax has moved from having all waterfall teams to 50% agile teams. I also believe that part of being an effective leader of a software development team is understanding the technology. I bring over 10 years of hands-on software development experience across a variety of industries, including defense, intelligence, finance and retail. I have coded in a variety of languages, including ASP.NET, C#, and Python.
