Founded in 2000, Blink UX is a Seattle-based user experience research and design firm specializing in digital products. I research how people and technology interact to inform design recommendations. As a learning scientists, I specialize in understanding how people learn across settings. I have conducted studies in a variety of different areas including mathematics and science education, the implementation of new technologies in higher education, and video game play in homes. My design recommendations are based on field studies, cognitive walkthroughs, focus groups, and user interviews. My methods focus on how people interface with systems as well as how they interact more broadly within and across settings. I not only identify places where the intended design "breaks down", but also develop insights into why they occur and research-based design recommendations.
