Karl Kaiser has served Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) in manifold capacities since 1998. In the role of Senior Vice President; Marketing & Communications, Kaiser oversees all integrated branding initiatives, communication strategies, marketing initiatives and advertising campaigns for BGCA and its 4,600+ affiliated Clubs. Therein, Kaiser oversees the Marketing department comprised of five major areas: Brand Management; Sports, Entertainment & Alumni Relations; Partnership Marketing; Communications and Creative Services. Throughout his tenure at BGCA, Kaiser has led with his strengths: Creativity, a strong work ethic and leadership. These strengths have been the foundation for Kaiser’s success in building the creative department from a three-person operation in 2001 to a 14-person, $1.2 million brand management operations, advancing the organization’s national brand recognition to 98%. Previous roles at BGCA include art director, web director and customer experience design. His efforts have contributed to successfully positioning BGCA as one of the top 10 power brands listed by The Cone Nonprofit Power Brand 100. He also played an integral role in launching one of BGCA’s brand platforms “Great Futures Start Here,” featuring more than 21 prominent Boys & Girls Club alumni including Denzel Washington and Jennifer Lopez, among others. Kaiser has led marketing relationships with global advertising agencies McCann Erickson and CP+B and cause campaigns involving Tupperware, Sprint, Disney, Charles Schwab, Kimberly Clark and Staples. Prior to joining BGCA, Kaiser’s experience included creative work in commercial real estate, retail and international broadcasting. A graduate of the AIA with a degree in visual communications, he is an active member of AIGA.
