Possesses solid leadership, communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization, including staff, management, and the Board of Directors. Professional Accomplishments: Verafin Inc. As Chief Financial Officer, identified and attracted a major US private equity firm which ultimately invested over $60 million in the company. This was the fourth largest transaction in Canada for 2014, and the largest venture capital transaction of its kind ever in Atlantic Canada. Actively participated in the development and execution of the company’s strategic growth objectives which resulted in year over year revenue growth in excess of 50 percent. ICAN Limited Responsible for establishing and managing the company’s wholly owned US subsidiary. This was critical to the company in broadening its customer base and targeting the U.S. government and military markets. Implemented creative financial approaches to performance improvement, transitioning the company from its largest ever loss to profitability the following year. Actively participated in the successful sale of the company to a European partner in 2008. Bell - Aliant Inc. Played a lead role in the negotiation/structuring of a $150 million securitization of Bell - Aliant’s Accounts Receivable portfolio with Scotia Capital.
