I am a map nerd. I always have been and it's why I love working with Spatial Information. As a child I would copy maps out of the atlas, colour them in, and stick them on the wall. As I grew up and got taller and uglier, I discovered a whole industry devoted to my childhood pastime. So in the last fourteen years since graduating from High School, my education and career has been all about Spatial Information. It's the diversity of the industry that keeps me going and moving forward; being able to draw on diverse experiences to create solutions for the present. My ideal day is one where I have to rifle through mountains of historic and current data, finding a way for it to make sense, and then creating a solution that will eventually help shape the way we live. And when the pressure is piled on thick and fast, that's when it is at it's best; managing competing demands, priorities, and deadlines successfully makes reflecting on a days work that much more satisfying.
