I have over 8 years of experience in commercial litigation during which time I have focused predominantly in practice areas of property, strata, debt recovery and insolvency.Prior to specialising in commercial litigation I worked in general practice, which has given me the ability to understand clients’ commercial needs outside of litigation, and bring a holistic approach to the practice of law.I have spent the majority of my time as a lawyer, heading up an insolvency practice group, acting primarily for trustees and liquidator in complex litigation ranging from Local Court matters through to the Supreme Court , Court of Appeal and the Federal Courts. Heading up the insolvency practice has also seen me working through and overseeing not only the litigious matters but the day to day matters that arise for liquidators and trustees including conveyancing of residential and commercial properties, complex transactional arrangements, issues arising with deceased estates and other matters as they arise throughout various jurisdictions.I have also been able to utilise my litigation experience in other areas of commercial litigation including building and construction defect litigation including High Court litigation.My experience gives me the ability to provide my clients with a results driven approach while also facing the challenges of litigation head on.I have also spent time teaching with the Australian National University in their post graduate law courses when I have time away from my busy practice.Being fluent in Italian has also enabled me to assist clients from a non-English speaking background in resolving their legal disputes and navigating their way through the legal system.
