David has over 40 years of telecom hardware and software experience working for 6 startups (4 founded with 2 successful exits), 1 successful turnaround, and 4 large telecom/software companies. He is a successful innovator and entrepreneur. David has wide experience in many roles such as Founder, CTO. VP Operations, Product Manager, Partner Program Manager, Professional Services Manager, Customer Service Manager, Development Manager, Field Sales Engineer (and sometimes installer), Developer, Individual Contributor, and Consultant. His experience includes the likes of proposals and contracts, patents, ISOs, Industry Organizations, customer task forces, and more. David is presently semi-retired, and working as a consultant for Enact-ID Inc.(https://enactid.com/) where he is assisting the CEO with various activities. Previously, Mr. Schenkel acted as a Senior Technology Analyst reporting to the AVP, Carrier Strategy at ADTRAN. David worked with the product management, engineering, and T&I/CTO office teams to create future products and technology directions in areas such as SDN, NFV, CORD/HERD, service level orchestration, and network management.
