PLEASE READ!!! I'm in a season of enrollment for my job. If you know of a mature job seeker 55 years or older who needs assistance in re-entering the workforce, please have them call my office at 281-820-7451. When calling they do not need to speak to me or mention my name. They only need to mention their interest in the employment program. The applicant must qualify by age and income. I am NOT just looking for warm bodies, the applicant must be willing and able to work. Please read below for other services I provide to non-profits and employers. I administer a Dept of Labor grant funded program (SCSEP) where I assist mature job seekers (55+) in finding employment. During this process I partner with non profit organizations and public agencies (libraries, govt agencies, schools, etc.) to host participants on the program to provide training assignments. These are paid assignments funded by the program, therefore, the services are free to the organizations and agencies that I partner with. In other words, the "host agency" receives free help provided by the program participants while being paid by the program until we can assist them in obtaining unsubsidized employment (a real job) off the program. The program also offers an incentive for employers to hire mature job seekers. If you are a business owner I can help you with your employement needs. We will provide you with potential employees on a trial basis for free. During this trial period the program pays the participant's wages and the participant is covered under the program's workers compensation insurance so it's no cost or liablity to the employer. This is a win-win situation for all parties involved Though I cover all of Harris County, My office is in the North Houston area so most participants that I serve out of my office live in the surrounding areas of North Houston...Humble, Spring, etc., however, I am not closed to other areas such as downtown, it just has to be in Harris County. Please let me clarify, the "host agency" situation MUST be in Harris County, however the "real job" situation can be with any company (profit or non-profit) in any area.
