Cyber Security and Fraud Prevention is a unique combination of expertise that depends on unique traits. Approximately 20 years of experience in these fields equates to a strong foundation. My experience comes from both the private and public sectors, across large and small companies. What makes me unique is not only my experience, but how I deliver a message. A security professional must always weigh the security wants against the business needs. Once you understand how security works within a company, you must then deliver the message that sits well with management and is understood. Great knowledge will fall on deaf ears if the message is not delivered properly. I have learnt that an honest message, based on accurate facts, will gain support from leadership, hence supporting the top down approach. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, experience, and professional network with those that are like minded or poses opposing views.
