I’m guided by an innate curiosity grounded in humility. As a co-founder and product leader at a successful SaaS startup in Seattle, I’ve experienced the ups, downs and all-arounds of fighting to gain traction in a new market. From no-funding, seed funding during a recession through raising $92M in venture capital (series A to D – Goldman Sachs, OpenView, Microsoft, Voyager), I understand the grit and growth mindset it takes to truly build something great. Reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors, I played a core role in moving text messaging to the cloud for B2C and inventing conversational “business texting” for B2B customers – text-enabling existing landline / VoIP / Toll-Free phone numbers so businesses can communicate with their customers at near 100% response rates – while growing to a successful $100+ ARR with a top ranked culture and workplace. I’ve led product development from an idea to scale creating an award-winning business messaging, enterprise grade, SaaS / CPaaS messaging software (desktop, web, mobile, tablet, integrations, and embeddables) and API platform to support billions of conversational commerce text messages. To round out my product knowledge I developed a Customer Experience (CX) competency – Success, Support, Onboarding – and helped scale our growth through strategic reseller partnerships. I attribute my success to surrounding myself with a passionate and talented team, communicating a clear vision for the product and the target customer, obsessing about customer experience / design, and then delivering and iterating to create real customer value. And some luck brought about by good karma. My startup and enterprise experience is backed by Amazon, Accenture, and Fortune-500 joint venture roles in product, program and business development.
