United Way of Greater Cleveland is a Social services organization in Cleveland, Ohio.

I am currently the Human Resources Associate for United Way for Southeastern Michigan located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. In this role, I am responsible for a variety of tasks related to the staff of the organization. Mainly, I am in charge of the entire hiring process from recruitment to on-boarding, including posting open positions, working with the hiring manager to find the best, qualified candidates, and successfully bringing those candidates on staff. In addition, I am the first contact for current employees regarding questions and concerns about their benefits and role within the organization. Before I joined United Way for Southeastern Michigan, I had worked many internships in a variety of industries, all relating to Human Resources. During these experiences, I was able to learn many different aspects of the departments in order to broaden my knowledge and experience in the field. Being a part of an organization that aims to help grow the city of Detroit through a variety of programs, I am truly passionate about the city as a whole. It is amazing to see the long term effects that the programs have on the city and its community. Though I am not directly out there serving them, being of service to the people that do is satisfying on a daily basis. I graduated from Oakland University with a B.S. in Human Resources Management and Marketing in 2014. Starting in January 2016, I will be returning part-time to Oakland University to pursue an M.B.A. while continuing my work at United Way.
