Time Warner Inc. is an American media and entertainment conglomerate headquartered in New York City.

Gary is Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for Time Warner, and is responsible for establishing and maintaining a Time Warner-wide global information security risk management program. He joined Time Warner in 2015 and brings with him 25 years experience in information security, emerging technology and broadcast media. He is responsible for Time Warner’s security program to protect against information security risks and represent the company’s security program to senior leadership. He closely partners with Time Warner businesses to implement practices that meet security policies and standards to ensure a balance between risk mitigation and business flexibility. Mr. Owen is a seasoned leader is this field, having most recently developed and led the Cybersecurity and Technology Risk practice at Promontory Financial Group advising financial and non-financial companies on multiple aspects of security risk management. Previously, Gary was Vice President, Technology Risk for Goldman Sachs and responsible for integrating and managing global Threat Management, Incident Response, Investigation, eDiscovery and Surveillance programs. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was Executive Vice President, IT Risk and Program Management at Citigroup where he developed and managed various global threat management policies and programs including Incident Management, and Cyber Intelligence. Mr. Owen was the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) Board and regularly worked within the financial services community and US agencies on critical infrastructure protection and information sharing. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont.
