Matthew joined the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) in 2007 as Sr. Business Development Manager in Economic Development, where he was responsible for business development and projects recruitment of multiple industries for the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. In 2010 he assumed the role of Advanced Manufacturing Director/Sr. Project Manager Supply Chain, specializing in the recruitment of manufacturing and logistics projects. In 2013 he was promoted to Director of Supply Chain & Advanced Manufacturing. While maintiaining a focus on projects recruitment, he is now responsible for strategically and globally marketing Atlanta to several targeted manufacturing sectors including renewable energy, cleantechnology, aerospace, automotive, electronics, plastics and food processing. Matthew contributes largely to the running of MAC's Cleantech Leadership Council, a member subcouncil comprised of industry representatives who mission is to grow the Atlanta cleantech economy. Matthew was previously employed by The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) as a Sr. Manager in Industrial Recruitment, handling worldwide business marketing for The State of Georgia. He also served as the departments lead recruiter for China-based projects until the creation of Georgia’s China Desk in June of 2006.Matthew is a graduate of the Terry College of Business, where he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics at The University of Georgia in Athens. He is an active member of several industry organizations, including The Georgia Economic Developers Association, The National Association of Industrial and Office Professionals, The Metro Electric Vehicle Readiness Task Force, The National Association of Chinese Americans and The Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals. He is an executive board member of The Georgia China Alliance and previously served on the board of directors for The Georgia Solar Energy Association and the Georgia Greentech Corridor.
