When I was 5, I knew I wanted to be an artist when I grew up, as did half of my kindergarten class. “All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once she grows up,” said Pablo Picasso, explaining the innocence of this elementary school phenomenon. As I began my college career, I decided to leverage my sustained passion for the fine arts, while combining it with my love for business to pursue a career in business’ creative facet – marketing. I am empowered and motivated by creative environments and as a painter, I strive to apply my creativity and artistic passion both on and off my canvas everyday. Painting is an intricate science that enforces analytical perception, critical thinking skills and effective communication of concepts, lending its lessons well to the world of business. For these reasons, I can now, as a professional, assure Señor Picasso that for a child to remain an artist once she grows up, that child must simply pursue a stimulating career in marketing. I strive to contribute my skills and passion to arrive at solutions in an innovative, inspiring atmosphere, while (most importantly) still appeasing my 5-year-old self’s career aspirations.
