I have more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry and joined Smith & Williamson in 2000. I have worked with families and family offices extensively, concentrating on investment planning and fund management. Specialist areas include family OEIC investments, pension investment and private portfolios, primarily using collective funds. I have worked with some family groups over a long period and over several generations, advising them through death and divorce situations. I head Smith & Williamson’s Guildford office and as a fully qualified financial adviser I am able to comment on all aspects of financial advice in some depth. Notable Client Work and Achievements •Providing an overview of the asset allocation for all the members of a family’s investments and giving an independent analysis of their various fund managers’ performance and methodology. •Bringing together and monitoring different family members’ investment portfolios under one roof in order to save time. •Educating and advising younger generations so that they are better equipped to understand the workings of the investment world when the time comes to run their finances. I hold the Diploma in Financial Planning and am a member of the Personal Finance Society.
