With over 20 years of legal experience, I am a Derivatives Partner and Global Head of Financial Services and FinTech at Shearman & Sterling and have built a reputation for delivering innovative ideas and solutions to financial institutions, FinTechs and other market participants. I have a broad and deep knowledge of financial institutions, evolving regulatory requirements and the business opportunities and challenges faced by my clients. As the financial services sector faces disruption by both new non-financial institution players and emerging technology, I continue to remain at the forefront of industry developments by supporting both the burgeoning FinTech community and my financial services clients. I am thrilled to spearhead the firm’s FinTech Foundry program, which supports the FinTech-related activities of our clients and the wider global FinTech ecosystem including financial institutions, FinTech start-ups, accelerators and incubators, venture capital and private equity investors, and policymakers. This program provides opportunities to connect, share insights and provide legal advice to the innovators shaping the future of financial services. On a day-to-day basis, I advise clients on the full range of derivatives, structured products, securitization, capital markets and commodities matters. In particular, I help clients develop and structure new financial products and have extensive experience in the negotiation and documentation of OTC derivative transactions across all asset classes. Given my genuine passion for advancing career opportunities for women I am also proud to lead Shearman Women, the firm’s women’s initiative.
