Karsten Randolph wholeheartedly believes that every individual has a unique ability to help improve the lives of others. For Randolph, this drive to help others shaped his career in healthcare management; he joined his current team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in April 2014 and has since served as the organization’s Regional Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he supports AdventHealth Shawnee Mission’s network of health care facilities and providers in their quest to provide quality medical care to those living in the Kansas City area. Over the course of his career, Karsten Randolph has had the invaluable chance to work in a myriad of organizations across the country which are all affiliated with AdventHealth. In the late nineties, he held controller roles in the healthcare sector - first in Kentucky, then in Maine, and later in Illinois. Starting in in 2003, Randolph began to serve in CFO positions in Illinois and then in Colorado. Before taking on the role at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, he worked as the Regional CFO for the Adventist Health System’s Appalachia region, where he helped oversee and provide financial direction for four affiliated hospitals. Outside of his career experience, Randolph also holds a CPA license in North Carolina, an MBA in Healthcare Management from Benedictine University, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Andrews University. During his undergraduate years, Karsten Randolph was introduced to the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) - an organization which provides the support and opportunities underserved families need to spark positive change in their lives. ADRA’s mission resonated with Randolph when he was a college student, and his care for the cause has remained strong ever since. Outside of his professional and community work, Karsten Randolph is an avid golfer and family man who enjoys spending time with his wife Clarissa and their daughter at their home in Overland Park, Kansas.
