Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at one of the largest global providers of B2B customer experience (CX) solutions and technology: ServiceSource International. This organization offered revenue generation via digital sales and customer success for some of the world’s best recognized brands. - - The company I worked for was acquired by a much larger company, so I am now open to new opportunities. With more than 20 years of excellence in IT security and compliance initiatives, I have been at the forefront of transforming internal processes with innovative approaches; employing cost effective strategies to address risks and quickly achieve sustainable compliance with regulatory standards. I have developed and implemented programs for SOC2, ISO 27001, SOX, NIST-CSF, PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR. I have hands-on experience with security and privacy requirements for healthcare, media/telecom, finance/banking and B2B service companies. I love all things security and risk-related and can help any organization create or revitalize their information security program, whether it be a company that is growing and wants to attain certain security or compliance certifications, or one that has experienced a recent problem and wants to transform their existing program. The top three leadership attributes that set me apart from other CISOs are my: 1) Business Value: I bring sensible security to all aspects of the business, from early-stage decision making, to contract negotiations, driving business growth, guiding transformation, expanding in new geographies and markets, optimizing processes, managing costs, and preparing for mergers and acquisitions. 2) Operations Background: I have owned my own business, and have served in major corporations. I understand that security must enable business instead of blocking it. My focus is on making security feel like a natural part of business flow (no "mall cop attitudes" on my teams). 3) Agile Problem Solver: I possess a rare ability to quickly digest data, analyze and prioritize risk scenarios, and initiate planning and execution to address them. I always stay current with the latest technology, but I also know from experience that some problems are better solved with simple/low-cost solutions. Most importantly, people like working with me.
