WHO AM I? I am a commercially astute Chief Financial Officer of a global explosives and Australian agricultural company. I have more than 29 years of work-related experience in the gold and coal mining, upstream oil and gas, chemicals and energy industries. As a forward-thinking finance executive, I have gained deep experience in: -Development and implementation of business strategy and resultant alignment of business objectives to drive and deliver sustainable shareholder value; -Delivery of well thought trough business performance management processes and reporting systems aimed at maximizing sustainable business performance aligned with Board and stakeholder expectations; -Successfully design, implement and delivery of global business improvement projects including business model restructuring and implementation; -Balance sheet and financial risk management, including business re-organization projects, debt restructuring - raising several multi-billion US dollar debt capital market bonds, delivery of fit-for-purpose treasury and cash management processes combined with a deep know-how in negotiating and managing relations with the top 20 global banking institutions; -Corporate governance management. As a long-standing executive director on the Sasol Limited Board I have covered all aspects and have significant skills in managing and dealing with Boards, global investors and regulators; -In leading global effective and efficient finance and IT functions I have advanced skills in Integrated Reporting, Enterprise risk management and SOX internal Controls management processes, IFRS reporting, Performance Management systems reporting and management, NASDAQ and JSE listing and disclosure requirements. -As a long-standing member of the executive team I have deep knowledge in effectively shaping, steering and operating at executive level.
