Stepping away as an active CHRO, I was humbled by the many comments made about my positive impact. It inspired me to stay open to ways I could continue to contribute. I found that opportunity by joining the amazing team of Executive Partners at Gartner, all bringing their deep experience as CHROS to bear advising active CHRO clients of Gartner. As a former client of Gartner,, I was fully aware of the quality of their research in the HR space and am proud to leverage it on behalf of my CHRO partner clients. Some examples of the comments I mentioned include: “North Star”; “True North”; “leader, innovator, motivator and exceptional partner”; “extraordinary assessment skill, judgment and wisdom”; “a hallmark of a leader driven to make organizations and people that [she] works with work much better”; “leaves a mark on all those fortunate to work with and for [her]”; and a “champion for how the HR function can positively impact the business.” This is based on a record of partnering with senior leadership to drive a human capital strategy and culture change that facilitated a company’s transformation, growth, and sustainability. As CHRO and law partner, I led people strategies in multiple different operating and global environments from highly regulated businesses to growing software and technology companies and large labor-based businesses. Supported multiple CEO and senior team succession processes and hundreds of significant organizational changes including in the M& A space. I also led one of the first HR transformations to use process change and technology to drive value-added service to the business effectively and efficiently and was a recognized. thought leader in the health care space and employee well-being as documented by Harvard Business School in a 2004 case study. All this experience earned numerous recognitions including election as a HR Fellow by the Academy of Human Resources, a Lifetime Achievement Award by the HRO Association and listing as among the 15 most powerful women in HR by HR Executive Magazine.
