I’m currently one of two Operating Partners of the Dawson Group-Seaside, Fl. I oversee back of house and front of house operations, guest experience, hospitality standards and implementation, social media across all platforms, improving online feedback, community involvement, recipe standardization and documentation, retention of team-members, employee management and training, management of Human Resources, staff education, all while trying to implement a positive and exciting culture that rarely existed before for the Dawson Group-Seaside Fl. In my previous position as the Activities Director for Pappas Restaurants Inc. I managed all intramural sports from Feb. to Dec., season tickets in several cities for professional sports, group outings, social events, charitable giving, volunteer opportunities for 14,000 employees. I focused on the retention of employees in an industry that can be nearly impossible to maintain year over year, even month to month in most hospitality scenarios. Our team members’s happiness and growth mattered to me. Prior to that I helped our team as both a Kitchen and Floor Manager by overseeing about 120 employees in both “front and back of house”. In this area of responsibility I worked with and managed a staff of all ages. I was an interviewing manager and began this process with interviewing candidates for all positions. I took a very keen interest in training, earning myself a position as head of training for the front of house. During the training process we encourage personal growth and development, and create leaders by promoting teamwork by teaching integrity, attention to detail, and dedication to the core values of PRI. I loved being in the back of house as well; I love interacting with all walks of like and training teams on new recipes and developing current and new skills. I was proficient in ordering, keeping a well organized space in the kitchen, warehouse, dry storage, etc. and holding my management team to the same standard. I have a BA from the University of Houston – graduating class of 2014. I’m always interested in hearing from former classmates, coworkers, or just people interested in connecting.
