I am now in my third startup environment since 2015 across 3 different sites, 3 different customers, and two different sectors within DHL Supply Chain. I led a small startup within my site, helped establish a large site takeover, and was recently promoted to an operations manager II position which is responsible for leading the startup of the third shift. The difference between working in a startup versus a stable environment has been dramatic – added stress, unpredictable problems, and a need for strong leadership. Leading in these various startup environments has allowed me to test my skills both professionally and as a leader while making significant contributions to the company. Providing successful leadership and finding solutions to the challenges I encounter day-in and day-out has instilled in me the confidence and experience to take on new challenges with higher responsibility in the supply chain industry.
