Nintendo of America announces the hiring of a new vice president of Human Resources. Robyn Corr began work at Nintendo of America’s headquarters in Redmond, Wash., on April 29, and is in charge of employee welfare, compensation, benefits, recruiting, learning and development, organizational development, payroll and HR systems. She reports to Flip Morse, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of Corporate Resources. Robyn joined Starbucks Coffee Company in 1998 as Diversity manager, and was promoted to the position of Staffing and Diversity manager later that year, she served in that role for two years. Next, she joined the Supply Chain Organization as the HR manager for the Starbucks Support Center (SSC). In 2001, Robyn transferred to the Kent Roasting Plant as the Partner Resources manager where she was later promoted to Partner Resources director in 2003. In May 2006, Robyn accepted the role of Partner Resources director responsible for strategic and operations planning reporting to the evp, Partner Resources. She was promoted in 2007 to her first role is vice president. As a college student Robyn interned with Texaco, Inc. for two consecutive summers as an INROADS intern in their corporate Human Resources (HR) department in downtown Houston, Texas and upon graduation went on to pursue her professional career in HR with Texaco. Robyn relocated with the company to Universal City, California to work in Texaco’s Refining and Marketing Division supporting corporate employee services and programs. Next she accepted a promotion and was transferred to Kirkland, Washington to lead HR generalist activities for Washington, Oregon and Hawaii.
