Angela has more than 40 years experience in all areas of HR Management (retail and financial services organizations). In September 1983, she began her Navy Federal career as an Employee Development Specialist; she was promoted a year later to Manager of the Employee Development Branch; and she has since held various leadership roles in HR, including Manager, Employee Relations Branch; Assistant Vice President, HR Division; Vice President, Employee Services; Vice President, Employment and Communications; and Vice President, Learning, Development, and Communications. In 2011, she rotated to the position of Vice President, Branch Operations, for nine months as part of the Executive Development Program. Over the past 32 years, she has had the opportunity and pleasure to work closely with employees throughout Navy Federal whether at headquarters, in Italy, Guam, or Pensacola, to provide HR services and support. In May 2016, Angela took the position of Senior Vice President, Human Resources Department. In this role, Angela is responsible for talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, executive compensation, employee relations, learning and development, talent development, employee programs and communications, occupational health services, wellness programs, and human resources automated systems. Angela also oversees Navy Federal’s award winning business/school partnerships with schools in both Virginia and Florida. Angela received her BS and MA from the University of Maryland, College Park, and she is a graduate of Navy Federal’s Executive Development Program, Class of 2011. She is also a Samuel R. Pennestri Memorial Award Winner (2015).
