Clock speed and culture of experimentation are the 2 attributes that I need to nurture and propagate. I need to ensure that my 30 years of work experience doesn't come in the way of self transformation. Ego, fear of failure, success traps and ignorance can cause that generation gap and prevent me from being effective in new Digital world. Hierarchical structure, authority based organizational model, financial control based constrained thinking, experience being equated with time spent in a role are some of the concepts that one needs to relinquish. Journey of self transformation on. I have stayed invested for 30 years in the IT Industry. Done various roles ranging from Domain specialized implementation consulting, hardware sales, sales management, country sales management and heading overall country subsidiary for HP in India. Had a stint with Marketing by leading Asia Pacific Region Marketing for HP's Business Customer organization. HP's focus on helping employees to grow was very evident in my case, was called to co lead HP Compaq merger from the Asia Pacific region. Shifted to the Services Side of HP and enjoyed the creativity and value creation of services business for almost 7 years. Journey of a first time CEO started with Mphasis in January 2009. Working with a closely knit leadership team. This team has been instrumental in successfully tackling tough challenges with confidence. Completed 2 waves of transformation. On to the 3rd wave. This 3rd wave is about managing and nurturing our DnA (Digital and Analog duality). We have embarked on an ambitious journey of being a potent Digital force in specialized areas.
